Day 11 SUNDAY August 20th,
2000
We wake up early and get the bus loaded. All of us are kind of sad.
We have been together for many days now and none of us are looking
forward to being apart from each other. The bus rolls out and we
begin to talk about what God has done on the trip and how it has
impacted us. Wow. What an incredible journey. We read our devotions
for the day and then share with each other our KODAK moment. This is
where the kids highlight the trip by writing the experience that hit
them the most. It was really good.
We write notes to the West's and to our leaders and thank them for
the trip. It is really a great time of reflection. I preach Sunday
morning service in the afternoon! It is from Titus Chapter 3. The
kids seem to get something out of it and then we worship. What a
blast. We are drawing closer to home now. And we stop for Ice Cream.
We have about four more hours of driving and we will be home. We stop
at McDonalds for cheeseburgers and then spend the last few hours
talking about what God has done. We pull up to the bus washing place
in Elma and the team gets out to wash the bus. Jewel finishes the
drawing on the bus ceiling and then everyone cleans the inside of the
bus as well. Things are looking great! Our final moments are spent
worshipping God as we pull into the parking lot. There are many
things to be thankful for on this trip. God has blessed us, we will
never be the same.
